Purchased this thinking of an upcoming camping trip, but I think it will also come in handy for bbqs with friends. We’re the first of our friends to have a baby so we’ve avoided the portable high chairs that clamp onto a table because it feels like it would impose a bit on our friends to use their furniture like that if they aren't used to kids. I like this as an option because we can just sit her on the grass and not worry about any mess (she always feeds herself).
The great:
A+ for customer service. The day after I purchased, the price was lowered by $6. Kind of annoying so I messaged the seller and they issued a $6 refund immediately. Sure, it’s just $6—but hey, that’s a burrito! So I'm happy.
The good:
I love that it is machine washable, but haven’t tested yet. Will update if it goes badly.
Love that the carrying case had a zipper pocket for the extra pieces when not in use. We have the wide feet and the chair straps in there.
I like the waist clip. No real reason, just think it’s a cool mechanism.
The “meh”:
Kind of annoyed that the product images conveniently left out this MASSIVE warning label on the back of the chair. I understand its legal necessity but I can’t help but feel a bit duped. The chair is nice though so whatever. I am scared to cut it off, though, because I don’t want to damage the mesh pocket.
The sides are a bit low, but I get that this is a portable chair so it’s not going to be perfect. I hope my daughter will learn to stay put but when I put her in it to test it out, she just leaned over the side and could touch the floor which just encouraged her to keep trying. I didn’t feed her on the chair though, so I’m sure food would be a good enough incentive not to run away. She’s right on the verge of walking now so always wants to go, go, go.
